Samnel Jaokron, Jan., was adjudicated bankrupt at tbe Supreme Court to-day H. Kohnand J. Fisher were the petitioning creditors. The defendant, a well known solioltor, left by the Mariposa en December 6tb, and hss nob since returned, His liabilities amount, lt is said, to a large sum.

Thomson v tJni»n Steamship Oompany was heard, m whioh the plaintiff, a gardener, claimed £200 for injuries sustained on board the Omapere m April last year, owing to an explosion of gas m the hold, eaid to have been caused by tbe nefclisrence ot a seaman m taking a naked light into tbe hold. A verdict for £125 waa given.
