Among the startling rumors recently put m circulation la one to the effect that, m tbe event of a war being provoked hy Russia, Germany and Austria will tako steps for the resuscitation of the kingdom of Poland, and to give proceedings a disinterested appearance Germany mi_;ht give up iho small portion of the dismembered kingdom whioh fell to its share, Indemnifying itself perhaps by taking over some of the noa-Slavouio province, which are incorporated with Russia.
