Auckland, January 13. The steamer Oreti has been sold for £600 and goes to Queensland.
The temperance meeting has resolved to reject tbe proposals from tho Licensed Victuallers' Association for a compromise over the licensing eleotions, and to appoint a onmm.-tee to the elections on tbe old programme, viz., ten o'olock dosing, no upstair bats, no increase of licenses.

Petitioner, the husband, was a storekeeper at Lurosden, and co-respondent was his partner. On discovering his wife's Infidelity petitioner bought out his partner. He re* fused to take proceedings at the time, as It would have enabled his wife to marry the oo respondent.
