The presiding Justice deolined to issue a warrant, as he thought the matter could be jasfc as well prooaeded with on summons, Punbdin, January 9 Ninety-seven passengers have booked for the first excursion to be made to the Sounds by the Tarawera, starting on Wednesday. A large number are Engglieh tourists, and almost every part of tbe colony and Australia Is represented. The Hon Mr Fiaher, Minlo'D: of Education arrived here to-day. Charles Allen, one of the largest landowners m Dunedlo, died to-day.
