Messrs H. Matson and Co. report upon the second wool sale of the season for Ashburton, held yesterday, as follows :—The various salesmen oata ogued about 800 bales, most of which was disposed of at rates fully equal to last sales. Our catalogue.oonwated of 277 bales and 68 bags of wool, locks and pieoes, and 300 sheepskins, which were cleared at prices indica ed below. Woolly sheepskins realised sd, 4Jcl, and inferior ditto 3£d per In. Highest price realised by us for crossbred woo! was for Mr A. Ma farlane's, A ford Forest, which realised 9.1, Singletree B*d, and a Ranj>itata Island client B}d.
