Thomas Pepperll, for forglag and utter- i ing, was sentenoed to 3 months ; Janaei Marshall, house-breaking, Q years ; Qagh Anderson, attempted suicide, dladhargod on his own reoognlaanoe ; Alfred Helms Palmer, a boy of twelve, robbery from a dwelling, Ben{ to the Industrial School. The grand jury threw out the bill against Arohlbald Buchanan, Indeoent aasault, EIIz» Wblttot was sentenoed to 2 years, to commence at the end of the sentenoe she Is already nerving, Edward Arthur, charged with robbing a Chinaman with vlolenoe, was dismissed. Nine out of the eighteen oases havo thua been disposed of to-day. DuNßittN, January 5. At the Supreme Court, James Johns* ton alias Davery pleaded gillty to two charges of forgery and was aentenoed to twelve months. James Bplera was acquitted of laroony. James Hunter and Mary MoNaught who were pharged conjointly with Spiers were found guilty, and Edward Adams guilty to receiving stolen goods. Sentences were deferred.
