ELGIN SCHOOL.
The following is the Inspector's report ' on tho above school : — ! "The sohool has pamd a grod rx- ' amination. Composition and dlotation i are very good indeed. Grammar and ■ arithmetic are good, though more time is needed fo~ - fuller treatment, no analysis having been taught a« yet. Writing is very fair, reading is only fair. Instruction bas been given m all tbe subjects of the class and additional groups, and with very fair results. The dieoipline Is good. Per centage of passes, 42 11 ; per oentage of failures, 23 81. L. P. Wood, Inspector."
