LYTTELTON REGATTA.

Christchukch, January 2.

The weather waa beautiful to-day for the Lyttelton regatta, which waa largely attended, and passed off very successfully. The yacht race waa won by Mr R. J Soott'a Fieetwing, 10 tons, beating Mr M. Miller's Paßtime, 8 tons, by 7$ minutes. The open boats sailing race waa won by Mr J. Durham's Madi?e, Mc J. T. Osborne's Dream 2. The Canterbury Rowing Club won the senior Double Sculls, the KaUpoi crew being second. The Union Rowing Oiub^won ths Senior— Pairs, with the KaUpoi Club second, and the Lyttelton third. F. Foßter, of the Union Clnb, beat S. Wright, of Kaiapoi, m the single Boulla. The naval artillery cutter race waa won by the Lyttelton orew after » hard struggle with the Oamaru navala second, Port Chalmers navala third, Timarn navala 4th.
