As already stated, the proceedings of tbe Federal Council of Australasia at the next meeting at Hobart will be chiefly of a formal character.' It is intended, however, to pass a measure for amending the Imperial Act so as to meet the jcbjections raised by New South Wales to the constitution of tbe Federal Council. It is not proposed to legislate upon intercolonial matters.
