FUNERAL OF SIR R. D. ROSS.

Adelaide, December 29 j Sir Robert Dalrymple Ross, X.C.8., late Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, was accorded a public funeral to-day. The cortege s'arted from the House of Parliament, the procession including his Excellency Sir William Robinson, officials and members of both Houses of the Legislature, Aldermen and Councillors of the city of Adelaide, and representatives from various public bodies. The service was conducted by Bishop Kennion. Flags were hoisted at half-mast, and ■hops along the route were closed. All the Government offices were closed to-day out of respect for deceased.
