RIOTS IN RUSSIA.

St. Petersburg, December 26. After often-repressed protests against the vexatious rules imposed upon them, the students at St. Petersburg University appealed to the citizens for support m resisting the troops. Grave disorders have also occurred m conneclion with the Military Academy, the Michael College, and School of Forestry, all of which have been closed by the authorities. Numerous arrests have been made, and all the universities throughout the country, with the exception of that of Kieff, have been closed for similar reasons. Later. Fresh disorders occurred m this city, and the students of the University have appealed to his Maj s'y the Czar against the rules imposed upon them. The Minister for Education has tendered his resignation m consequence of the appeal.
