IRISH AFFAIRS.
Mr J. Cooper, M.P. for South East County Cork, and Alderman for Cork City, recently sentenced to a month's imprisonment fur publishing reports of meetings of supposed suppressed branches of the National League, declines to wear prison clothes unless forced. London, Decfmber 22. Mr Sfaeehy, M.P. for South Galway, who was re-arrested at Clonmel, has been sentenced to one month's imprisonment for attending meetings and inciting resistance to the law.
