Mzlbotjrne, December 20. A cricket match has been played jetween Mr Vernon's team and twentytwo of Gippsland. The latter went m irst, but only succeeded m putting together 51 runs. The Englishmen were lot disposed of until they had compiled 152. Being 101 runs behind, the Gippsianders then commenced ther second innings, but were all out for 98, the ' match resulting m a win for the visitors t>y an ioniog* and 2 runs to spare. '
