A COMPLAINT. • Mr Buckley complained of a paragraph which appeared m to day 'a •' New Z jaland Times " relative to the manner m which he had recorded tia vote on the second reading of the Glrla High School Bill. The paragraph taxed him with voting against the same Bill he had fatheted m the Ooancll last year. He bad not introduced the Bill, and had voted against it. The matter then dropped, BILLS PASSED, The C.vll Service Reform Bill, Native Lond Administration Repeal Bill and Govornment Loans to Local Bodioa Bill were read a third time and pasßod, THE lAN© BILL, Mr Stevons moved tho second reading of tho Laod Aot Amendment Bill, Mr McLean and Mr Miller supported the motion. Tho Oouacll at 5 p.m. adjourned to 7.30 p.m. On resuming, Iho aocond roading of the Land Bill wo a agreed on the voioes: Iho Bill waa then committed. Mr Bonar moved m clause 33 that constitution of land boards be struck oat, thus abolishing the boards. ' Progress was reported, and leave given to sit again. .. THIUD READING. The Christchurch Hospital Bill, Christ oburoh Drainage Keaarves Sale Bill, and Building Societies Bill woro committed, reported wUhoat amendments, and paeaed the final stages. SECOND RFAWNGS. The Otigo Harbor Board Amendment Bill was read a second tlmo. Mr Johnson moved the second roading of the Pukekohe Borough BUI nnd Wairarupa North County OouhoU Empowering Bin; Mr Buckley moved the adjournment of the Oamaru Harbor Board Loan Bill. Agreed to, and the Council adjourned.
