« The following ia the Corn Exchange report for the week ending Ifriday, the 16th inst. : — The improvement In the grain and produce market is so slight as to be barely peroeptible, values remaining much the same as last \vaek, and inquiry purely looal and limited. Home freights atill militate against any important shipments being made. Reports from country districts on the whole-are favorable, general crops only requiring a continuation of the present warm weather to bring cereals to that perfection bo much desired by our farmers, Q dotations as follows : — Wheat— Tuscan and Pearl, 33 3d to 3s 4d ; Hunters, 3j 2d to 3s 3d ; second quality, milling, 3a to 3j Id ; whole fowl feed, 2s lOd ; broken, 2s 7d to 2s Bd. Oats — Prime milling scarce at Is lOd ; short feed, Is B^d to Is 9d ; Danish, 1b 8d ; discolored and inferior sorts, 1b 6d to U 7d. Barley— Market bare. Beaks akb Pbas— Very few Icqalrles at former rates. Gbas< Sbem -Miohine dressedjrye, 3a to 3a 3d! ; farmers' parcolß, Is 9i to 2s 3d ; cocksfoot, 4d to 4| i for good heavy seed. Potatoes — Nominally 20s at country Btatlons. Dairy Pkoduce— Slight Inquiry, no Improvement m values. The above prices are those paid to farmerß, and dcli.ored f.0.b., Lyttelton ; sacks extra.
