Isabella Hewett v Hugo Frledlander, alaim £3 13s 2d.— Mr Outhbertnon appeared for plaintiff — Tho plaintiff stated tbat she had been engaged as cook and ' laundress and had remained m defendant's ' employ from September 10 to October 13. : —Mr Friedlander asked for a non-suit, baaing his application on the provisions • of tbe Maraied Women's Property Aot. He said that he allowed Mrs Friedlander a certain sum monthly for household 1 expenses and he argued tbat this con- < stltuted a separate estate and that she was < liable for all olaims whloh were properly 1 made on account of household expenses. ' — The Magistrate could not entertain Mr 1 Fried-lander's application.
