A new clause providing that a selector of rural land on deferred payment under section 114 of the Land Act aiay obtain an extension of his license for four years was agreed to ; also a new clause thai the holder of bush lands on deferred payment* under eeotlon 114 of Land Act ahall be exempt from condfltons of resldenca therein contained so soon aa he haa complied with the provisions for cultivation, (to. Th-> Mlr.istor of Lands' intimated that ho intended to move an amendment to strike out clause of Act, 1885, exempting members of Parliament who are members of Land .FJoarda from dicqqalification by accepting fees for cervices rendered. An amendment moved, that the Board consist of three members, waa loßt on tho roiooß. A further amendment, that the whole of tho mombera of the Beard be elected, was agreed to. Tho Minister of Lands moved, that fhroo members be e'ected by Councils of Counties, which waa agreed to on tho voices. The Minister of Lindß moved farther, that the fourth member be eleoted by Cgnnolla of boroughs, Agreed to on the voloeo, Mr Boethjyn'g olauae aa amended, was then added to tho Bill. Mr Seddonmoved a now clause — "That tho cxponats of members of the Board aoln^ to and from meetings should be refunded them."
