DEATH.
Melbourne, December 6: News has been received here by cable of the death of Baron Hawke, father of Mr M. B. Hawke, who is at present playing with Mr Vernon's team of English cricketers. The Melbourne Cricket Club have forwarded a telegram to Mr M. B. Hawke, who succeds to the title, tendering their condolence, and offering to re*ease him from his Australian engagements.
