The premiers of Victoria, South Australia* and Queensland are conferring relative to re-naming New Bouth Wales. It is probable that a joint protest against the proposed new name for that colony will bo sent to Sir Henry Parkes.
Mr Gillies, Premier of Victoria, has written to Sir Henry Parkes, Premier of New Sooth "ttiales^ prorestiog o* behalf of Vi cl*_Ha, South Australia, arid Queensland, against the proposal to change the name of New {jjjguth Wales to " Australia."
