Mblboui-Nk, November 28
The " Age " m an article to-day directs public attention to the complication which possibly may arise m conseqence of the short supplies of tonnage m Australia. The article shows that already iron vessels of bandy size are scarce, and offers of cargo from Adelaide on account of grain and wool shippers failed to obtain response from owners. The natural result of the present dearth of tonnage has been to increase freight. It is extremely probably nothing under 3-s Od per ton will be accepted by owners of iron sailing vessels for cargoes of moderate sire, while far stealers a considerable advance m, rate? is evprywl^e anticipated.
