Willxngtox, November 28.
On Saturday a deputation consisting of 33 chlefi of the northern part of the North Island waited on the Premier and Native Minister with regard to the position of Natives under the Native Land Administration Act, and asking that the measure should be repealed. The deputation, which was headed by Major Kemp, laid before Government a daft cneaiura embodying their proposals bat the Minister* stated their inability to oarry through inoh a Bill this ■easion. They promised, however, to bring m a temporary Bill this seaeion, alleviating the position of Natives, and n»xfc session they will bring m a compretenslve Bill dealing with the whole question. The no-confidence debate commences at 230 p.m., when Major Atkinson moves his motion as to the revision of the tariff, and when the debate on that question, if any, fs over, the Financial debate, which is next on the Orders of the day, will commence It is not expected, however, that the debate will go much further, and that probably It will close to-night.
