London, November 22. Consols i©3j^. New Zealand 4 per cent, loan, 96^. The market rate is 3^ ; the bank rate 4 per cent. The fifth series of colonial wool aubtions opensd to-day m the presence of a large attendance of home and j foreign buyers. An animated demand I was manifested for the various lots offered. The number of bales cata* logued was 9000. Msi-fcouRNB. November 23. Meßsrs Goldsbrough and Co., Limited, held their usual weekly sale this afternoon. The attendance was large and competition brisk, prices ranging from 6}£d to v %d for greasy j is to is 4j^d for scoured wools. All light-condiuoned merinos and crossbreds met with good demand, 6300 bales having been sold by the firm during the past week. Messrs Goldsbrough's London cablegram states that the London wool sales opened at closing prices of last series.
