The Oamarn Agricultural Show held yesterday and to-day was a big success Tbe weather waa cole 1 , but there was a large attendance of the general public There was a magnificent show of sheep, particularly m the Leioester and Lincoln olasseß. There waa also a very exoellent show of Ayrshire cattlo. The draught horses formed a big feature ia the Show, and the competition was so close that it took the judges up till 6 o'clock m tht evening to get through their work. Tb> champion draught entire was a beautiful quality borao belonging to the Hon. M Holmes Regent beat British Lion, the champion of last year and the champion at Tinwu. Mr McManter was the largest prize taker m Merino sheep. Mr Murdook and the Hon M. Bolmea tied for the Cop for Leicester, and the Hoc M, Holmes won the champion prize and the Cup gi7en for Llnoolns. Taken all through, the Show was one of the best ever held m Oamaru, aad the affair passed off with gre»t success.
