No entry for the above Races will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising ont of tho racing shall be decided by the Ste^ar b, or whem they may appoint, their decision on all points cinnectud with tha canning out of this programme to be final. 2. The r&cea a*e open to any horso commonly resident m the district frcm the Ist of October, 1887, to the date of meeting, and owned by a person who has resided m the district during the eamo period. 4. The district above mentio ed is bounded on the north by the Selwyn, and on the south by the Orari. 5. five per cent will be deducted from the grcßß of all monies payable m accordance with this programme for expenses of the course. 6. No protest will bo received unless lodged within 15 minutes after the race hos been run, to which the prot< st refers, and must be accompanied by £2 m cas^i. 7. No entry will be received except on the conditions that all disputes, claims, and objec* tions rising <mt of the Racing shall be decided by the fctewardß or whom they may appoint. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident m the district between the rivers Selwyn and Opihi, from Ist of August last, and up to tbe dato of the forthcoming Meeting, and owned by & person who bas resided m the said district during the same period. 4. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of ail moneys payable m accordance with this programme for the expense of the course. 5. All nominations and acceptances to go to tho funds of the Club. 6. Trotting Races. — Horses must trot to the satisfaction of the Referee. WifiIGHTS.
