DISTURBANCES IN LONDON.

London, November 13.

This evening four hundred persons have been arrested for participating m disturbances to-day, among therri being Mr Robr. Graham, M.P., for N.W. Lanarkshire. A great number of others were seriously injured, no less than 75 being admitted into the hospitals. Various processions were intercepted by the police before reaching Trafalgar Square, and were i only dispersed after extreme measures were resorted to. The chief conflict occurred close to the Houses of Parliament, where the police encountered a mob of some thousands of South Londoners, and m dispersing which two constables were stabbed. The police were everywhere victorious m the collisions wih the rioters. The contests were of a most Subbom character. The " Pall Mall Gazette " is violently inciting mobs to assembly m thousands and to march to Trafalgar Square. Sir C. Warren has forbidden all processions to the Square to-day (Sunday). Mr Henry Matthews, the Home Secretary, informed a deputation of ratepayers that Trafalgar Square is Crown property, and the Metropolion Board of Works would be empowered to close the square entirely if necessary. London, November 14. Desperate conflicts occurred m the Haymarket and Strand between the mob and the police, wherein considerable numbers of the latter were injured but after a severe struggle the police triumphed, and the rioters were dispersed. The Ridical leaders and news papers declare that the demonstration will be repeat- d nexr Sunday.
