Mr D. WiUoa wrote, stating that he was the only one who had complied with the Council's notice to remove fences In lines of natural water- courses. Consideration of these two letter! was deferred; PAYMENT. A payment of £2 to Mr Oorbett wai authorised for filling In drain at Seavlew. PLANTATION. Consideration of a letter from Mr Hawdon, re plantation damaged by fire some time ago, was deferred till next meeting. WaKANDI PROTECTIVE WORfffl It was decided that the Engineer should bo authorised to put m hand the necessary work to protect the groin that Lad subsided at Wakanul. DOG COLLARS It wbb reßolved to call for tenden for a supply of dog collars. HOLIDAYS It was decided that the Ooanoll offiof I I should be closed for a whole day on November 11 th, and for half days on November 23rd and 24th. WrJgbfr, Baid that as dm was the last meeting of the Council, he thought they might pao» a hearty vote of thauks to the Chairman, Mr W. 0. Walker, for the manner m which he had conducted the business of the Council during the last three years. The Council was not, unfortunately, la a position to accord more substantial recognition.
