Supreme Oou.t. New Plymouth, October 29. At the Supremo C«urt Charles Augustus Rogers pleaded guilty to uttering a cheque, Digued J. T. Steward, Wanganui, on George, a furniture dealer here, but not guilty to a charge of forging the cheque, liogers, was sentenced to a year's imprisonment with bard labor. This terminated the criminal business, and the juries were diamased. Accidents. Dunedin, October 29 Robert Wilkinson, a son of the contractor at Nevada, was killed by a fall fiom a horse. Alfred Reid, a lad employed as porter at the Dunedin Rail we y Station, wai knocked down by a paaelng engine and Beverly injured on the head and faoe, hip and baok. Anglican Synod. The Anglican Synod have carried resolutions practically ln favor of grantß to denominational schools. Bishop Neville. Bishop Neville haß intimated his Iniention of visiting England next year.
