Chrwtohuroh, October 29 None of the New Zealand Cup horaeß did very important work at R'coarton this morning. Torrent went a couple of miles with Water Qaeen, moving In fairly good style, but is still backward. Lorraine galloped two miles and a half alone, moving freely. This colt If started will be dangerouv. Nelson, after going a mile and a half alone, was joined by Bronte, and taken along fast. Nelson ran right away from his half brother and put m a oapltal gallop. Gipsy King seemed better thsn Hermitage iv a good striding two miles, and Fair Nell traversed a mile and a half at three quarter pace. Tit Bit waa aent two rounds with Seoretary, only a moderate performance, Ruby pnt m a fast mile with Vanl tress and the Wave gelding, but SUvermark was confined to walking exercise. ' Beglna , compassed the Cup distance alone at a very ordinary pi 00 and Crntohfield, Teredo, Loon, and Sultan did easy work.
