Winner of Squatters' Stakes t . carry 71b penalty. One mile and a quarter. MrSteph. nson'a b m Laßoee 1 Messrs Bobbs' b g Jack 2 Mr Rutherford's b m Miss Webster ... 3 Hagk Race, of 10 soys, winner to be sold for 10 soys, and any surplus to go to the Olub; catch weights Six furlongs Mr Young's idalia 1 Mr Esler's Wire-In 2 Mr Lewis' Nipper ... ... ... 3 Won rather easily, after a fairly good race. Messrs Hobbs' b g Melville 1 Mr Crocker's eh m Opera 2 Mr Burgess' oh g Derby 3 Ten, Panio, Little Wonder, and Goldfinch were scratched, Stratford, on Kate, proved a bit troublesome at the post, but eventually tho lot were let go very nloely, Kate gettiog away beat of all Alameda made a forward movement at the turn, but on getting into the straight Melville drew out of the ruck, and en reaching the rails had a deoided lead, winning oleverly by a length and a half.
