ANGLO-FRENCH AGREEMENT.

[ROUTER'S TELEGRAMS— COPYRIGHT.] (Received October 24, 11.30"a.m.) London, Oc f ober 23. It is generally understood that an agreement between England and France regarding the Suez Canai and the Nevr Hebrides will shortly be arrived at. The " Times' " Paris correspondent telegraphs that this has been arranged and that France will cease to occupy the New Hebrides within four months after the signature of the agreement. It is further provided that the Anglo-French treaty of 1877 will be upheld, and that if the security of Fiench or English subjects m the New Hebrides is threatened, either Power will be per- , mitted to temporarily send vessels or troops to restore order.
