RESIGNATION OF SIR H. PARKES.
Sydney, Ootober' 19^ Sir Henry Parkes has resigned, his seat m the Assembly as member for St. Leonards, but proceeds to seek reelection for that constituency, for which he will probably be returned unopposed. Sir Henry will retain . his position m the Government pending jhe result of the election. \
