LIBERAL CONFERENCE.

The Liberal Conference opened today at Nottingham. Mr Gladstone, on arrival m the city, received a r tremendous ovation from, the inhabitants. In speaking at the Conference Mr Gladstone vehemently denounced the conduct of Government m their administration of Irish affairs. He said " impertinence " was the only word applicable to it, and declared that if Government persisted m their rash folly dealing with the present difficulties, the government of that country would become impossible, and a radical change of policy, he added, was necessary, which only an enfranchised nation oould accomplish. '
