Frisby for r £40 ; we also sold a 3 -year-old filly oat of " Kate " In very poor condition to the same buyer at 20 guineas. f Poultry, — Fowls, 2s to 3» 2d per pair. 1 Produce — Der (rents, Oamaru, 3a per . bag ; local Is 3d to 2i 6d per bag ; bath . kidney, 15s per bag ; oat 3, It 8d per _ bushel ; bran, 4s 31 per bag ; fowls whont, 2s 3i per bushel ; flour, 181 61 per bag ; c oatmeal, 3s per bag ; carrots, 2s 3d per * bag ; oheese, 2& to 3i par lb ; mutton, 2d I' per lb ; boof, 2,1 to 2]d per lb ; veal 2d to 3d per lb ; tea, 12a 61 per box ; furni* ture, harness and sundries sold at full prioes. '" At the Ashburten yarde, on Tuesday, '> the 18th loot, about 3300 sheep and 46 a head of cattle came forward. Toero was a fair attendance of buyers, and the prioes obtained show a decided Improvement 0 upon last sales. Fat oroasbreds, lla 6d, 6 11s Bd, 12s 6d, 13i 6d; a grand line of 0 freezers fetched 18s ; orosibred hoggets, y according to quality, fetched 2s 9d, 3s 3d, 6s 6d, 7i sd, 8s 3J, and 9s sd ; 4 tooth crossbred ewes and lambs, 7s 5d to 9s 6d ; 6-tooth wf there, 8s lid ; fat heifers, 8 £4 15a to £5 10a. » -
9 Mr Alfred Hairison reports his weekly sale for Saturday, Octobor 15th, as follows : — * Cattle,— A numbor of cows were . yarded, but few sales were made at low prices. • s Pias.— Slips, 7s, 7s 9d, 9s, 10b, 11s Gd to 12s 6d, For these biddings were very ) brick, and better prices were realised than |. during tho last two years. Stores, 5a to 10s 1 Poultry. — Fowls, 2i to 2s 4d ; ducks, • 3e. 1 Produce.— Potatoes, no change ; chicki whout, 2s to 2a 6d ; oats, Is 6d to Is 8<l ; ; sharps, 7s ; bran, 4s 3d ; mutton, 2d ; , hams and bacon, Id, l£d to 4d lb ; veal, 3d ; carcase pork, 2 Jd ; tea, 14s ; carrots, I Is 6d to 2a 6d ; onions, Hd. 1 mPlements. — Hand fire engine, £4 15b; Whitechapel cart. £23 10s ; spring cart, 1 £10 15s ; dray, £5 15s ; roller, £9. Harness.— Suddlo, £2 10a ; side saddle, £3; set cart harness, £3, etc. Sundries. — A quantity of furniture, a consignment of confectionery, and a large quantity of goodß of various decoriptions, as usual, found a fairly good market.
