[rBUTBB'S TELEGRAMS — OOPYKIOHT.] Melbourne, Ootober 18 The manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand reports on the local market as follows :— Shipping wheat is m steady demand, without activity, at 3s 4d to 3s 5d per bushel. Malting, barley is difficult to sell, even with a slight reduction m price, 5s to 5s 6d per bushel being the ruling value. New Zealand feed oats, without marked (if any) change m price, at 2s Sd to 2s 9d per bushel ; New Zealand oats, milling descriptions dull of sale, at 2s ad to 2s rod per bushel - } New Zealand oats under bond are quoted at 2s to 2s id per busheL London, October 17. Consols remain at 102^. New Zealand Four per Cent. Inscribed Stock has advanced 10s, and is now qaoted at par. The market rate of discount is 3^ per cent, or below the bank rate. There is no quotable change m the value of colonial breadstuffs or tallow.
