FiresAuckla.ni), Ootober 18. There was a fire at 11 o'clock last night m a two storey house of eight rooms, m Upper Q leen street and oooupied by Mr H. Hjcklng, compositor. It spread to a four roomed cottage occupied by Mr Thos. Malvale. Both houses and furniture were destroyed. Mr Hookinga furniture was insured for £100 In the Royal. Me Mulvale was not insured. The house belonged to Mra Roth ani waa insured for £225. Mr James Donnelly's two atorey house adjoining wan scorched and a ived with difficulty. The Otahuhu fire was covered by a builders risk m the New Zealand for £250» (Galvanised Iron. Wellington, October 18.
