Dunedin, October 15. The Horticultural Society's experiment of holding a spring show Las been very successful considering the boisterous weather of the past few days, the exhibition of flowers being very good and varied. Two Jade named Horton, and Henry were charged with damaging buoys m the harbor to the extent of £24, by firing ballets through them. As the Board did not wish to press for a penalty, and it was , I alleged that they were shooting at the birds, the charge was altered to one of discharging arms with negligence, and a fine of £5 each was infliected.
