SENSATIONAL SUICIDE OF A LADY
■oA strange case of suicide hvi just ocourred at Newport, Rhode Island. Miss Rebecoa Hunter, a wealthy and charitable lady, was having her residence pulled down, and a new one erected. She did not like the new one ; and her dislike growing upon her, Bhe ordered her coachman to drive her to the Forty Steps, at the foot of the Narraganeett Cliffs. Htr orders were obeyed. Upon reaching the desired spot ehe alighted from her carriage, and told the driver to wait for her. The Forty Steps is a favorite tpot for visitors, and lead right down to the rocks which are wasted by the ocean, the breakers daßhlng against them with great fury. The driver waited 1 for tbe lady some thirty minutes. A gentleman passing discovered a body floating m the ocean, and he told the driver of hi* discovery. The driver was stricken with horror, and was not long m ascertaining that the lifeless body waa that of the lady he had brought to the spot.
