A meeting of the Jubilee Committee was held last evening m the Borough Counoil Chambers, and jwas fairly well attended, the Mayor m the ohair, Two email accounts were passed for payment, and it wbb deoided that an effort should be made to get m the whole of the outßtanding donations promised at onoe, and that a publio meeting of subscribers be held on Tuesday, 25th Ootober, at 3 p.m., m the County Counoil Chambers. A rough balance-sheet was produced, showing about £150 available for permanent memorial when promised cub. Boriptiona are got m. Auditors were appointed, and tbe meeting adjouwed.

Wright, the Chairman to write anl ask that gentleman to give his consent.— The master's report was read, showing the number on roll to be 50, and the average attendance for the month ending September 30th, 44.— The Chairman reported that the works authorised at last meeting had been oom pieted.— The Master interviewed the Coml mittee and urged the neoessity of providing a screen to divide the upper and lower departments of the school, as both the mistress and he (the master) had felt the difficulty m securing the children's attention m the onb part when anything unusual was going on m the other.-jThe Chairman was authorised to have the jork completed by next meeting.
