' Some diaoutsion took place re the mall services, and it was resolved to request the Auckland members to resint to the utmost any attempt to do away with the direct mail service. It waa decided that Government be urged to take steps for the cocßtractlon of a branch railway to Tarnnaki, connecting with the Main Trunk Line.
