To-day we hold our usual fortnightly sale of sheepskins, fat hides, and tallow In sheepskins our catulogue represented about 500 skins, but owing to tho late unsatisfactory news from England a drop of from Od to Is m dry Bkins. and from 3d to 9d m green skins I ad to bo submi'ted to. Beet crossbreds with us made 48 lOd to 63 2d ; second quality, 3b 9.1, 4s, to 4s 8d ; medium and inferior, Is, lb 9d, 2s Cd, 3s to 3s 3d ; best merino to 4s 5d A large quantity of dry Bkins were sold by the lb at from 4d to 5d per lb Hides and calfskins, 3d ; fat, |d to Id In Properties we note an improved demand. We have placed Heveral farms during the last month, and we have other sales now pending. Ihe prices are low certainly, but even to be able to dispose of land at any price is, to Bay the least, reassuring.
