THE MELBOURNE EXHIBITION.
Berlin, October 6. The proposition of Prince Bismarck to appoint a German Commissioner for the Melbourne Exhibition, and render financial aid to its German exhibitors thereat, came up for consideration m the Federal Council to-day. The proposal was referred to a Select Committee, the members of the Council not yet being informed of the views of their respective Cabinets on the matter.
