Napier A. and P. Sbow. Napier, October 7. The day being fine the attendance at the show was very large. The cattle exhibited were excellent. "Mussulman," the bull cj-nt from the West Coast, which won the champion prize m Sydney, was ! only placed third here. Mr Russell getting first and second prize. Foul Play was the champion thoroughbred, with Patriarch Becond. Hack and ladies horses were not up to the average. Dairy exhibits were very good, while poultry and dogs were numerous The brpt collect ; on of ir/.p c - ments wss Messrs Jonea and Son, Waipukurau, while Faulkner, of Napier, secured i the most prizes m buggies and carriages, • beating Ceusin and Atkin, Auckland, Supreme Court. Chbistohukoh, October 7 At the Supreme Court the following sentences were passed this morning on the prisoners convicted of the robber) from the D.I.C. :— C. T. Harris, 18 monthß hard labor ; Thos. E. Potter, 9 months hard labor ; Danl. Marks, 3 years penal servitude; O W, H. Gilbanka, 18 months hard labor.
