Stavoley (for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited) reports on Ashburton sale, on 4th inst : -Owing to the recent very severe weather, both entrias and attendance were far below the average. In fact business was quite nominal, and very few transactions took place. Good crossbred hoggets made 83, mixed crossbrods 6s 9J, fat lambs 4a aod 63. Fat cowa and heifers, £4 10s to £6 63. Tho demand for all stock was weak.
