Sydney, Ootober 2 Lates f; news from Samoa reports tbat King Malletoa has surrendered to the Germans, aod been plaoed on board the warship Adler, which is co sail for Auckland. Ma'iatoa's chief* have gone over to T.maaese, Affairs m Samoa are said to be quiet.
Auckland, October 2. In a private letter reoeived from Samoa It is Btated that the town of Apia is full of armed men, and tbat British citizens .re arxiou.ly on the lookout for an Eoplish war vessel. The British Consul at Apia stated that he could do nothing to prevent Germans from invading British property, as his instructions were not to interfere at present.
