A SINGULAR EJECTMENT
Auokland, Ootober 2. On the evening of September 21, a singular ejectment occurred at Papakura Valley, on a farm occupied by W. A. White. He, some time ago, had a dispute with Halliwell, owner of the farm, but matters were supposed to bave been satisfactorily arranged. On tha evening named, however, it is alleged tbe farm was taken possession of by Halliwell, who was aooompanied by another settler, and White waß seized by four men, who bound his arms and plaoed him on the ground In the stock yard, where he was kept for blx hours m the rain, a puard of two men being placed over him. A rescue party of farmers afterwards arrived, and applied restoratives to White, who was suff.ring from the effects of the exposure, but he had then to proceed to the house of some relatives at Hunua, as the evletors had taken possession of his premises. Warrants have been issued for the apprehension of the men concerned m tbe alleged eviction,'
