THE WOOL SALES.
At the wool sales yesterday 9900 bales were offered, and to-day the catalogue comprised 7300 bales. No improvement m. the demand was shown, and the market was steady, but inactive. Inferior merino wools are i}£d to 2j4d lower than last sales' closing rates; washed fleece j4d to id lower ; and medium scoured and lambs I*4 to 2d.
