Westport, September 29. Mr Napier Bell has sent m hie resignation as Engineer to the Weßtport Harbor Board. Dunedin, September 29. Three young men, named David Goldsmith, Daniel Hamilton and Andrew I Crab, have been arrested, charged with indecently assaulting a servant girl named Margaret Wilson, m the Cricket Ground at about a quarter to eight on Tueaday evening last. Accased were brought before tb.B City Police Court thia afternoon, when they were remandei, bail being allowed m £100 each and two securities. The Roman Catholic congrega'im at Danedin have subscribed £400 fur the testimonial to Bishop Moran. Thia fa m additon to £100 from Oannru. A spell of most inclement; weather, (surpassing anything this winter is now being experienced here. The temperature is very low, and violent squalls with hail and sleet prevail.
