Auckland. September 27. . The child, whose dead bedy waß found yesterday, proves to have lived, death re suiting from hemorrhage. Mary O'Connor, a young woimn employed aa cook at the Thistle Hotel, 1b the alleged mother of the child. She was arrested to-day, and removed to the Hospital. An inqueßt was opened and adjourned after hearing the medical evidence. Grbymotjtk, September 27 It b reported here tbat a London Syndicate has undertaken to build a railway connecting Point Elizabeth and Coal Creek with Grey mouth.
