Daring the evening, the returns from this district wore anxiously awaited by a large Daraber of peraona, and judging from the hearty applause given when each reßult w&s announced, the sympathies of the majority were entirely with the Goverment candidate. It became known that Mr Buxton was conalusively returned just when Me Walker's aupportera were meeting, and three very hearty cheera were given for the new candidate.
