AN INDEMNITY CLAIM.
France is claiming indemnity from Morocco for the assassination of Commander Schmidt. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cablegram: — London, Septembar 23 Wool. — The sales progress fairly well. Since the opening of the sales, the crossbred market is easier, but fine greasy crossbred has declined }4d per lb, and fine scoured crossbred y&d to id per lb since the close of last sales. The programme has been curtailed by two days. New Zealand Hemp. — Market strong ; medium is worth ,-£3O los per ton.
